Nigerian born africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has donated N150million to help in the fight of the spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria. The Chief Executive Officer of the Dangote Foundation, Mrs Adhiambo Odaga announced this at a media briefing at the Ministry of Health, Abuja on Monday. She said the money will be available for the establishment of an Ebola emergency operation centre in Lagos. “After bilateral discussion with the honourable minister and his team, Dangote foundation has funded the establishment of the Ebola emergency operation in Lagos, that is being done through grant from the foundation of just a little over N150 million,” she said. “The strategy that our chairman is deploying is the strategy to respond and to commend government for the effort, and to show that all Nigerians are concerned. I saw this, so i decided to share it with you guys and ladies who love being in vogue using the very latest technology which sometimes we don't really need. Many of us at one time in our life have found ourselves in situations where we own things we actually do not need and probably cannot dispose of. It is even worse if these are things that cost us even more money to maintain regardless of whether we use them or not. It could be cars, clothes, gadgets, wearable’s etc. Just how one can minimise the habit of buying things we actually do not need and prioritising the need to buy what we absolutely need. Tension high after US police kill black teen

Tensions have flared in the US state of Missouri after a black teenager was fatally shot by police, sending a crowd of local residents into a frenzy. According to Al Jazeera, the shooting of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old high school graduate, sent hundreds of residents from the St Louis suburb of Ferguson into a heated confrontation with police lasting several hours on Saturday. The crowd shouted obscenities and threats, including “kill the police,” but there were no reports of any injuries. A spokesman with the St Louis County Police Department confirmed one of its officers had opened fire, but did not give a reason behind the shooting. The police are to hold a news conference about the shooting at 10am on Sunday. FG bans inter-state movement

The National Council on Health has banned   the transport   of corpses and critically ill persons on both local and international routes   with immediate effect. It said only dead bodies with waivers granted by the Federal Ministry of Health would be transported within and into Nigeria . Such corpses must be conveyed   only   in   ambulances. To show its seriousness on the movement of corpses, the council advised state governments to enact legislation for   its effective compliance .
